Besides
friends’ and family’s intimate Recollections, the book contains 15 others, by
legal luminaries and Senior Counsel, giving glimpses of Seervai in and out of
Court. Lord Mackay, a former Lord Chancellor of England describes “Our children
were young and he amused them greatly by making the calls of a number of
different birds most realistically to them without using any aids but his
fingers.â€
    The book contains Seervai’s writings,
including a devastating indictment of “The Supremo†and a light piece “On
Nothingâ€; and tributes to legal luminaries and others.
The photo collection shows Seervai as a
small child and also as an 8 year old child priest, besides the happy family
man, and the recipient of awards.
    A considerable collection of personal
letters and a few official letters conclude the book.
Of The Seervai Legacy Goolam Vahanvati
wrote “Quite obviously (the Editor) wants the reader to embark upon a personal
journey........ It is a journey that every reader will delight in undertaking,
at the end of which he will feel quite enriched.â€
In reading Evoking H.M. Seervai the reader
will go on another enjoyable journey.
