Arya A. kumar

Dr. Arya A. Kumar is an Associate Professor at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, where she has been a faculty member since 2007. She holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, an LL.M. and Ph.D. from the School of Legal Studies, CUSAT, Kerala. Before joining ILI, she served as a Lecturer at National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

Dr. Kumar has contributed numerous research articles in various branches of law and presented papers at national and International conferences. Since 2007, she has been a regular contributor to the Annual Survey of Indian Laws on Company Law and has been a member of the Editorial Committee for the ILI Newsletter. She has done three major projects; "Lok Sabha project on Compendium of Judicial Pronouncements Relating to Parliament and State Legislature" (2009), Project on "Digest on Centre State Relations (Post Sarkaria Commission Decisions, (2009) & Project on TRAI (2011). She has authored two books "Socio- Economic Crimes in India- A Nutshell" (Authors press, 2018) and "Bioterrorism and Public Health: Emerging Challenges" (Lambert Academic Publishing, UK, 2022). Additionally, she has co-edited two books ''A Treatise on Consumer Protection Laws'' (2016) & ''''Human Rights of Vulnerable Groups: National and International Perspectives" (2021).
