D.P. Verma

 D.P.VERMA  is Member,  Twenty-Second Law Commission of India and former Additional Director  ( Research & Training), in the National Judicial Academy, India. He started teaching career in the Faculty of Law, Allahabad University, and later joined Banaras Hindu University. He was elevated to the position of Professor of Law in 1997. He also served as Head of the Department of Law, and Dean of the Law School, BHU from 2009 to 2022. Selected as one from India, he participated in the program of the Hugue Academy of International Law, the Netherlands. Nominated by the UGC, he visited the USSR. He also attended the Reorientation Programme on  International Humanitarian Law in the International Committee of the Red Cross, Switzerland and the Study Session of the International Institute of Human Rights in France. With professional affiliation with a number of academic bodies and institutions in Belgium, Germany, Italy, UK  and  the  US,  he has widely travelled abroad in connection with study,  research and participation in international conferences and seminars. His area of specialization  is human rights law, jurisprudence and public international law.
